A couple of years before he passed away from cancer, Huell Howser came to visit Hemet. He was famous for his Californias Gold show were he showcased small towns, activities and interesting things to see and do in California. He came to the museum to see the artifacts on display, then made his way over to the stock farm to view the various buildings. He did air the show which talked about this history and things about the town. I always found his show pretty interesting.
