A dam has a spillway to handle excess water, without it, the dam would eventually burst. With local, State and Federal governments, laws keep being passed and the volume keeps growing. We need an automatic expiration date on all laws when they are passed, with a required public review before renewal (the Spillway). Life need not be over regulated, especially with out-of-date laws and laws that just create confusion. The term length of the law has to be debated before the law can be voted on. Why not? I feel like we live under a dark cloud of laws that just keeps growing. Self-cleansing is a good thing, before the dam bursts.
