A day on the Yare. Thought Id have a go on the pole feeder in roach bay for a change. Got there for the last of the ebb to find three lads getting a few on the float. Wandered up to 52 and set up, H on 51. What a shocker. Its been a long time since Ive seen it that clear, I could see the end of my keep net.... Two hours of flood passed and I didnt have a single bite. Nothing. H winkled out the odd fish on the tip throughout. Two hours up I started to catch, and had a bite a chuck for over an hour before it died again. Ended up with 8-10lb. H had not much less. Two mates sat on 61 and 62 and had eight fish each. I think Id have caught better on the float, but expected more than I had. Two hours without a bite is like sea fishing :)
