A day with Spike Jagoe exploring a mountain stream with more Sambar deer seen then trout. A frosty morning with beautiful sunshine all day long. I managed to snap some shots of these mayflies along the river. Spike managed to stand on a copperhead and asked me if it was in fact dead but a poke with a stick saw him head for the hills. Spike explained to me that if you stand on top of them they cant bite you, its the bloke walking behind that gets bitten, it was then that i decided to make my own track back to the vehicle. Time to invest in a macro lens.
