A death in my family occured yesterday, my mothers brother Uncle Paul. I remember so many memories of Uncle over the years. Was quite the polka dancer, loved to laugh, garden, and was an avid carpenter. My father died when I was 13, so I looked up to Uncle Paul and in many ways tried to be like him. He was the only person in my family to be into home renovations, construction, and such and I was drawn to follow his example. I never remember him ever angry, imagine he was though. Always reminded me of Dean Martin. LOL I remember him working with my dad building our addition, drywalling, plumbing, and my list goes on. I had a profound respect for this wonderful man and I will miss him. His only brother Uncle Nick died a couple years ago. Both of these men were friends to my dad, and I equally loved them too. I wanted to interview Uncle Paul over the last couple years on video, but was not allowed to return due to legal issues I am facing here in Utah. My family means the world to me, always has. Uncle Paul, I will miss you and will continue to use your example to guide me as I improve the world around me, like you did. Continue to laugh and love, and give my dad a hug for me, I so miss him too.
