A difficult set to photograph, not least when you re-set the camera settings after 6yrs :/ These paintings are layered sepia inks, in areas to a point where its almost totally black. The tree line is also blacked out. I tried to get a balance in between the camera not loosing the colour of the sky but keeping the black, black enough. Not an easy thing to do.. They are meant to be very dark, and viewed in a darker environment. The lighter sepia areas actually hold a vibrant colour but I like that this is only caught in certain conditions. These paintings are not meant for a spotlighted sunny room.. They are for the darker lamp lit reading room of books & thoughts. Canvas 50x50cm £150 each
