A facebook friend passed away this morning after a difficult illness. She posted regularly until recently. Im not sure why some people feel that we cant have relationships through this medium, but I believe we can. I never met her in person but her presence was just as real to me as if I had, as have been many of my online relationships. I have watched several fb friends pass away, Ive suffered through break ups and divorces, Ive shared the joys of births and graduations, marriages. Ive met and friended people from other countries and cultures. I am grateful for this medium for the world to get to know so many more people. I value this experience and I wish my recently lost friend a fond farewell with the expectation of meeting again since we both believe in the life after this one...
