A fascinating piece of comedy history...Leno (who I dont uniformly hate) just goes into his act and its so transparent; hes not there for an interview, hes there to have as much screen time as possible. He digs on Letterman about someone finally making a point on his show, and you can almost see some loathing in Lettermans eyes as soon as Leno walks onstage, and his laughter at Lenos bits seems disingenuous to me. Leno drops some arguably racially insensitive jokes too, comparing airplanes to slaveships and making a soccer joke about foreigners. Leno does however mention a Shiite Cookie Bomb, which is almost prescient 30 years ago. Also Aqua Blue Blazer, Sleeves Rolled Up.
