A federal jury in Corpus Christi returned 13 guilty verdicts against Austin lawyer Marc G. Rosenthal, who had healthy — and profitable — dealings in our local district courts. Through their verdicts the jurors accepted evidence and testimony that marked Rosenthal as a ringleader of a legal circus that so far includes former district Judge Abel Limas, former state lawmaker Jim Solis and others who either have been convicted or pleaded guilty to various bribery, conspiracy and other charges related to the sale of verdicts in Limas’ court. It could also include former Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos and others who still await trial for their alleged involvement in the network of corruption.
