A fellow author notified me today of yet another site offering Free downloads of my books. Im so angry, I want to hit something (or someone) This is theft people! I work hard for the money I make from my writing. I put in far more hours than I ever did at a 9-5 job. Every time a reader downloads that Freebie, IT ISNT FREE! Im paying for it with the royalties I dont receive. Ive said it before and Ill say it again. How would you like it if someone stopped by and took 10-20 dollars out of your paycheck every week, because hey, you know, books are so expensive and I have to save money any way I can. If you cant afford to buy books (and Ive been there, believe me) get a damn library card. Theyre free! Stop stealing from authors who work just as hard as you do for their money. For those of you who refuse the temptation of free books on pirating sites, God bless you, and I apologize for the rant.
