A few comments on the whole Leonardo DiCaprio not winning an Oscar thing. 1) Leo is a phenomenal actor and does deserve to win an Oscar someday. 2) However, if he won out of pity rather than actual merit, it would be much worse than not winning an Oscar at all. Leo should not be held in the same breath as Roberto Benigni. 3) He did not deserve to win it this year. Matthew and Chitewe had far better performances than Leo. Wolf of Wall Street was thoroughly enjoyable but not up to the performances found in Dallas Buyers Club and 12 Years a Slave. 4) Leo has made comments that he works not just because he wants Awards but because he loves acting. Leo will get his Oscar someday. Or not. But hes still a damn fine actor. And no metal statue can change that fact.
