A few months ago, I became a candidate for River Rouge School Board. A few weeks later, a family tragedy turned my world upside down. The deadline to remove my name had passed, so I just figured that I wouldnt campaign... but it troubled me. I just kept hearing...What about the kids? Yet in the midst of my hurt I responded, What about me? I had been praying about the issue and this morning someone that I only wave to in passing said, You dont have any yard signs yet? I said, No. He said, Let me know when you get them so I can post one in my grandparents yard. I almost cried. I am still dealing with that family issue, and since hes fighting, Im fighting through it too. No matter what happens in your life, or how hurtful it may be; just know that someone needs you. So today, I recognize that I am the answer to that need and I am ready and willing to serve!
