A few months ago, I had the pleasure to meet Gerry Gomez of the Damngivers at a show up in Los Angeles. I had heard lots of great things about his band, and he turned out to be an equally great guy. He said he had also heard good things about my music, and before the night was over, he had invited me to come and sing backing vocals on a new album he was recording at The Compound Studio in Long Beach (which is where i recorded my first album). I was pretty flattered that someone who had never heard me sing live was willing to trust my vocals skills on his album, and it was such a great experience. Since then, Ive had the chance to meet all of the guys in the Damngivers - all of them talented, passionate musicians - and Im honored I got to be a part of this recording project.
