A few months ago after hearing conflicting reports about Fukushimas nuclear outfall across the Pacific, I decided to buy a geiger counter and take readings up and down the California coast. Ive had reason to be concerned. In the past 2 years Ive traveled to Japan twice (surfing in Tokyo and Chiba) and surfed Russias Kamchatka Peninsula. My motive was to not be reliant on mainstream media OR alternative media. Both have done a horrible job in my opinion of covering this catastrophe. After testing about 15 locations I found only very low levels with moderate spikes near San Onofre and Diablo Canyon Nuke Plants, however even these spikes were well below (close to 50 times below) safe levels. I stopped posting about this issue because I learned through what I believe to be accurate sources that we are in no harm on the West Coast of the North American continent.
