A few months ago, after one of the many severe storms we had, I came across an article in the Roanoke paper about a woman who had a MASSIVE tree fall on her house causing significant damage. Ms. Ginny Owen suffers from MS and unfortunately did not have insurance and no other means to get the house fixed. The part of the artilce that really struck me was that she never felt the need to go to Church, as this house was her sanctuary. I stronglly felt God pressing on my heart to get involved and help any way we could…to be the hands and feet of Christ to Ms. Owen. So we are looking for volunteers to help in any way they can, financially, labor, and prayer. The approximate amount of materials will be about $20,000.00. Because We Care Ministries has graciously provided the funds for the roof trusses and they have been ordered. We will then need sheathing and shingles. If anywone is willing to donate even the cost of a piece of plywood or a bundle of shingles, it would be greatly appreciated. If you have some framing or construction skill, that would also be a huge help. The funds can go to Becuase We Care Ministries or Rebuilding Together.
