A few months back I was the unlucky recipient of a speeding ticket (I was itching my healing wound and had stepped on the gas without realizing it), and while the interaction with the officer was absolutely comical, my inability to fight the ticket in Ramsey County left me annoyed. However, I see this cop at least once a week in the exact same spot (in front of Mounds Park School) and I wave and smile...and he waves and smiles back. Why? Because I was wrong, and he was doing his job, keeping White Bear Avenue in front of the school at a safe speed and keeping the kids/staff safe. Guess this change is what happens when you mature...you are a lot more eager to admit when you were wrong, fix it, and move on. Chances are Ill feel differently when I have to pay that ticket next month but I tell you it seems like life is dropping all kinds of valuable life lessons in some really odd places. Any who this has been more randomness by Tina. Make it some kind of awesome.
