A few notes for those new to my page, what we do, and how it - TopicsExpress

A few notes for those new to my page, what we do, and how it works: 1. The horses posted are owned by a kill buyer. They are direct buys from the kill buyer. Are in a kill pen slated for slaughter and will ship if homes are not found. The horses are not available to be viewed prior to purchasing. I understand the concern in this. 2. I have personally evaluated each horse and have given you the information from that evaluation. Heights are measured by a height stick and ages are given by the kill buyer after looking at their teeth. This is not a lengthy process or by all means a full evaluation. Gender, soundness, height, over all condition, broke to ride, disposition....a general evaluation of the horse. No guarantees written or implied. 3. All horses appear sounds unless otherwise noted, however, there is no guarantee of soundness and all horses are sold as is. 4. I do not pull horses that appear dangerous, are extremely dominate in the pen, or rear, kick, buck, or bite. This does not mean that they will not do this once settled into a new home. Again, no guarantees. 5. Prices posted are the prices given by the kill buyer. These prices are not negotiable. 6. The kill buyer gives me approx 5-7 days to find these horses homes. I do not know the exact time frame and talk with him almost daily to give him updates on each horse. 7. Horses are available for pick up in New Holland on Thursday and Monday. 8. Payment is via cash or check to the kill buyer directly at time of pick up or a check made payable to the kill buyer must be overnighted to me prior to pick up. 9. These horses are in a kill pen. The information and pics posted were when I saw them. They can receive bites and kicks while in the pen and after I saw them. 10. Sickness runs through kill pens. The longer a horse stands there the more likely they are to get sick. So obviously, the quicker we can them out of there the better. 11. Albums are created for each horse with all known information and pics. I do not know their history. When the horse has found a home, the album title will be upated to SAFE AND HOMED!!! If you do not see that in the title, the horse is still available. 12. I will not place a horse without speaking to the person offering the home on the phone and explaining everything to them. The last thing I want is this horse back in the pipeline. 13. And one of the most important things to remember, please, he DOES NOT have to allow me to do this. He is a kill buyer. He buys them to ship them to slaughter. This is my way of trying to save a few each week from going on the truck to hell. I cant save them all, but if I can make a difference for just a few, I will certainly do my best to make that happen.
