A few point: [1] We are a sovereign nation and we can print as much money as we chose unlike those nations in the Eurozone. [2] The deficit has significantly been reduced under the OBAMA administration. Employment [ a major source of revenue] has increased under the Obama administration as the administration put into place policies to undo the damage to our economy by the Bush administration. [3] Two items threaten our democracy us: [a] the gerrymandering that has disenfranchised millions of Americans. [b] Recent SCOTUS ruling allowing corporations to donate as much as they choose to elections. [4] SCOTUS is revisiting campaign contribution in the current session and will either exacerbate [b] or diminish it. [5] All of the above are intertwined and our democracy is either in for a, perfect storm, or an affirming rebirth.
