A few showers/storms have developed in Dickens and King counties. Addition storms may develop in that region but are not expected to produce much rain or become severe. They will produce some wind gusts to near 50 mph as downburst winds will be common with the storms. As for the weekend a major wind storm will impact the southern US from Colorado to New Mexico to Texas. Winds could average 30-40 tomorrow and gust to near 60 mph on Sunday, but in Texas and New Mexico. There is a slight chance of isolated storms late Saturday into Sunday morning, mainly east of Lubbock. Temps will range from near 90 Saturday to the mid 70s on Sunday._John Robison
