A few things I learned at Disney/Universal for those planning a trip soon: Get a hotel off Groupon. Trust me, even staying in the park you will need to take a bus to the entrance. We stayed at Crown Plaza off Universal Blvd...it was amazing and only paid like $550 for 5 nights! Plan on staying at each park till they close...even then, you wont get every thing done! Disney: ***has four parks plus 2 water parks: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. I highly recommend the park hopper as you will want to try different parks through out the day depending on wait times. ***All park passes come with 3 FastPass Express line tickets a day ***Epcot has all the Disney Princesss that you can meet, greet and get autographs ***every line was at least an hour if you didnt use FastPass, so chose your 3 wisely! ***We tried to do all four parks in two days, couldnt finish, so we went back a third day ***save your receipt when you eat in the park and you can get 20% off merchandise and souvenirs ***carry your phone charger with you cause a few gift shops have charging stations ***make sure to stay for both the day and night parade Epcot: make sure to try the different foods from around the world. Definitely a great experience! Universal Studios: ***Has two parks...Universal and Adventure Island. Harry Potter is in Adventure Land. Park hopper not needed for these parks since you can do each one in a day of you buy express pass. ***purchase express pass tickets. Its completely worth it. Each line was at least an hour wait (more like 70 min) and with our express passes (straight to the front of the line) we where still riding things till the last minute before the park closed! ***when going to Adventure Island (Universal Studios second park) You cant use express pass for the main Harry Potter ride. I recommend you start there when you visit this park and wait in the 90 min line for the ride, it goes fast. My recommendation: get a 3 day pass to Disney and the 2 day passes at Universal. Make sure to get the Park hopper at both parks if you want to go from park to park each day. The parks at Disney are so far apart that you have to take a Monorail or bus to each park. At Universal they are together and in walking distance! FUN FACT: Disney World is on 28,000 acres! Last, make sure you take plenty of money. Food in the park is expensive and you cant take your own. There is nothing in driving distance from the park to eat (cost us $20 in a cab just to get out of Disney). Each meal was at least $11! So if youre planning a trip soon all I can say is have fun and cherish your sleeping time at night...I highly recommend skipping a day between Disney and Universal to give you a good long rest day, we could of used it!
