A few things about the showers... * Have fun!!!! * Display your cherubs photos, album, share a video * Share CHERUBS videos * Play games * Have prizes * Its ok to get sponsors! $50 or $100 sponsors should help a lot and can cover some costs (talk to Karla and Lauren!) * Ask a local bakery to sponsor a cake or cupcakes * Ask Wal-Mart and Target to donate items * The Dollar Tree or other $1 stores have great, cheap decorations * Have a craft table at the event! Make photo frames and handprint kits for the babies (ask Karla and Lauren how!) * People can donate money as well as items * Serving lunch? Charge $1 or $5 at the door to help cover food cost or ask your family and friends to each make a dish * Kids are welcome! * Men are welcome! * Ask a photographer to come and donate their services to take photos of kids wearing wings (for a donation to the charity) * Ask doctors and nurses to attend * Hold a shower at work, school, etc * Many churches will let you use their facilities for free for a charity event * You asked your mayor for a proclamation, right? Get them to present it to you at the shower! * Invite your local media to attend! * Get creative!!! * Team up with other CDH families and plan a shower together * Have fun!!!!
