A few tidbits I took away from this week at the beach: I MUST retire at the beach (and while Im young enough to still enjoy it). I look forward to the days of my children bringing their children and our entire family spending days by the ocean. I love that kids have no inhibitions, specifically my son. He made new friends every single day within minutes of being on the beach. Never meets a stranger...between his dad and I, guess he gets it honest. I miss the days of being a kid and jumping in the cool water without wincing. This week it took me 15 minutes to get in up to my waist (unless Shawn or Reid kindly expedited the process). After parasailing I learned Im not scared of heights. Im scared of falling from heights. There IS a difference. Restaurants at the beach arent all that great...didnt have a single meal I was impressed with. Shawn still grills the best steak Ive ever eaten. And last, but not least...I LOVE sunsets and sunrises. One of the most beautiful gifts God gives us daily. Having loved ones to share them with is an awesome gift too.
