A few weeks ago I posted a #VividBurst on understanding gifts. I told my fellow innovators that we all are blessed with gifts, but we must use our gifts to uplift and bless others or we will never realize our true vision. Tonight I sat in bible study and listened to my Pastor David Johntate Venable teach about understanding our gifts, understanding purpose, and the power of unified and respected gifts. I struggled with my gift for years. I let people diminish me, dwelled in self-doubt, and set quiet due to fear of ridicule. I saw my gift as vessel meant to collect dust one minute or be used up by those who were mean spirited and self-serving. One day I woke up and realized that I was not cursed, but blindly blessed. I didnt come to this realization alone. Someone else had a gift that touched me and shook me. It blessed me and pushed me to understand my purpose and the power behind it. Funny how lessons never get old right?! #TeamCathedral
