A few weeks ago we had a private screening. It was at this screening my mother and brother saw the film for the first time. You can imagine how concerned I was. This is a deeply personal film that I made. Yes, the did agree to participate but it was because of me they did so. I did not want to show them the film until I was done and had some screenings to see the audience reaction. I was blown away by the reaction and knew I had a strong and powerful film. I was now ready to share it with them and another audience. I was humbled by the standing ovation. And was relieved by moms reaction.
