A few years ago, Mother Teresa left for her heavenly abode. An episode from her life history was televised. When India became a Republic, Mother Teresa was invited to Delhi. The President of India gave away awards to several people in honour of their service to India. This lady also received her award from the President. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Prime Minister of India, seated on the dais turned towards his sister, Vijayalakshmi Pandit who was seated next to him and said, Vijayalakshmi, when all these people received their awards, I felt no emotion at all. But when Mother Teresa received the award and embraced it as a child, that scene brought spontaneous tears to my eyes. Vijayalakshmi Pandit concurred with him saying that she was also moved in that same way. The reason for their emotions made by the unknown lady was Gods gentleness, which dwelled in Mother Teresa was overwhelming. Dear friend, God will place His gentleness upon each one of you. His mercy will envelope you. It will make you very great. When people see you they will witness this gentleness within you. Let not your heart be troubled. Prayer: Heavenly Father, Fill me with Your love and compassion. Let Your grace and mercy envelope me. Help me to reflect Your mercy and grace in my life. When people see me, help them to experience Your divine mercy. Shield me from all perils. In Jesus matchless name, I pray. Amen.
