A few years ago, VAngelo Bentley was one of Ohios best athletes for Cleveland Glenville. If he wouldve had the grades, hed be a Buckeye today. Instead, he plays for Illinois. That said, I watch every level of football with the same set of eyes, so my respect for Bentleys athletic ability never left.As a diehard WGH fan, I get extremely excited when our athletes get scholarship offers from anybody, let alone a Big Ten school. Hell, even Drew Brees played for Purdue! Yesterday, I told somebody I know that I dont disrespect anybody who has a college scholarship. He responded by calling me sentimental and even followed up with an ignorant personal attack. I wont touch the latter on that one (we were only talking about sports, so his comment was totally unnecessary), but ironically, this person has two sons who played high school football. Neither one of them ever received a Big Ten scholarship offer, but this same person says that Ohio State doesnt play anybody. Hmm... In closing, Ohio State could have played much better today, but by the show of hands, who on here has played/coached in 22 consecutive college football victories? Yeah, Im unable to see your hands on Facebook, but I dont need to. #GoBuckeyes
