A few years back, I had proposed an idea of starting a newspaper that would have only good news. My logic was that todays media is besieged with negative news. It bombards its readers with draining energy every morning. People do need to know about all the ills happening in society, but also need to know about the numerous good things happening too. In fact, readers feel that need sorely, and it will help to maintain sanity, and prevent people from thinking that the world is coming to an end. I suggested the title Only Good News. I then created a dummy newspaper for which I hunted for good news in all mainstream dailies. Incredibly, I found only 2-3 stories! Sadly, the project didnt work out and was shelved. But I didnt shelve the thought. So, here it is, thanks to Suhana Bhatias push, Only Good News in an online format. Lets truly create it like an oasis - the boundary of which keeps extending, becoming so large that it starts to feed multiple rivers and tributaries, and enriching the embankments of whichever space it touches. :)
