A fighting effort from the B Grade Ladies, but unfortunately they couldnt make it three wins in a row. On a hot and blustery day at Lark Hill, Melville batted first and made good use of the conditions to finish their innings 5 for 160. The wickets were equally shared by Jess Wall (1/12), Jasmine Covich (1/20), Rebecca Edwards (1/28), Jenny Brown (1/37) and Ashley Hazelwood (1/11) A poor start in the batting for Rockingham Mandurah saw them at one stage 5/12, before fine partnership of 38 between Chloe Wane (21) and Caitlin Crocetta (14) got the inning back on track. Mel Saunders gave her best performance of the season with the bat, with the team high score of 25, and she was well supported by Ashley Hazelwood (17), but it just wasnt enough in the end, with the team all out for 103. Next week the ladies hit the road to Joondalup, where hopefully the momentum from this game can have them back on the winners board.
