A first for this grandmother: as I was monitoring Solomon and Tru during supper, Tru decided she was finished and climb off her chair. Me: Tru, you need to finish your hamburger. Tru: Mia, Im full. My tummy cant hold anymore. All the while Solomon is cramming pieces into his mouth like Cookie Monster. Me: Tru, you need to eat at least one more bite. I want to tell Mommy and Daddy you had a good supper. Tru froze in her tracks looked up at me with a startled expression. Both hands on cheeks and said in astonishment: You sound just like my Dad! Every night he looks at my plates and says, Tru, is that a good supper? I really meant Mia. You sounded just like my Dad! I stifled a laugh and calmly said, Well, maybe he picked up a few things when he lived here. He is my son, you know? Tru: oh yeah, I definitely know his YOUR son. We both laughed. Solomon faked laugh,too.
