A former colleague asked me why I am working on Alacut and I thought Id share it with everyone. I suffer from a disorder. I cannot stay put for more than a few minutes. I get distracted easily and cannot stick to the same routine for more than a while. It is an actual medical condition; ADD: its attention deficit disorder. When I looked it up, it turns out a lot of us have the same problem; 4 seconds on a webpage and if we cant get what we want, we close it. You yourself are probably thinking about the end of this post right now. Imagine I go online and I just want to watch something funny. There is 70 hours of videos being uploaded on Youtube every minute, every single minute. And a lot of people describe their video funny. Does it make it funny? Definitely not! So, I don’t want to have to browse 20 videos to find one that is actually funny. I want someone else to do it for me, of course that someone else would want me to do it for them in return. It only makes sense; if we each did a little bit of the work. We each rate some of the content and we do this in volumes, we end up seeing videos that are actually good. The collaborative work of the minds of us all, makes sure the videos are worth it.
