A friend asked me about living with someone,who is suicidal.... When they are in the depths of it they should be receiving inpatient treatment (hospitalized) followed by partial inpatient (1/2 day, 5 days a week, intensive group & individual therapy & medication management. Debilitating depression should be treated with as much diligence & intensity as hard core cancer treatment.
