A friend/fello Derby skater, her dog, Beans, and I went out on a trail for about 2 miles. It was a lovely hike almost completely alongside a creek; but for the ending, which had me being carried out on a stretcher and getting taken to the ER via a full-cherry Ambulance. Turns out I completely dislocated my right knee and sprained my right ankle at the same time: When I do something, I DO NOT mess around! X-Rays said nothing was broken, and they sent me home.... Heres what is bothering me: A) Dr. tried to put knee back and it wouldnt go. She then told me when she was signing release papers that it must have put itself back during my X Rays. BUT IT DOESNT FEEL BACK. I cannot straighten my leg. Turning/pointing my toes to inside/outside? Excruciating. I have to CRAWL up stairs/slide down them on my butt (2nd floor apartment - Good times) 2) Most of my foot/some of outside of calf is numb. Only toe with full sensation is big toe.. Cannot lift leg on own, must use hands supporting back of knee. Takes over 20 minutes to manage a trip to the bathroom. Cant put on/take off own socks/underwear. :( 3) The pain varies in intensity, and is mostly located below the kneecap to the left, and also behind the knee in the outside right tendon, which then radiates down to the outside right ankle. Knee is so swollen and tender that it looks like I have THREE right knees.. I can stand with my right leg bent into a chair comfortably : I look like Captain Morgan! Lol Ankle is TWICE the size of the other one and tingles.. Foot has no visible veins or tendons because its so puffy - Even my TOES look like fat little sausages! Im a little bit spooked, because they said yep, dislocated, BAD, shot me up full of Dilaudid and Percocet, and sent me home. ER NEVER DID AN MRI??? WTH?
