A friend of mine, Robin Graves (as far as you know), made a very good point the other day. He posted a rant the other day about a message he received in which the sender berated him for his FB content, reasoning that his/her children use their FB page and he/she doesnt appreciate their children seeing graphic material on the newsfeed there. Robin, genius that he is, pointed out that it is not his job to censor his FB page for the benefit of other peoples children, and perhaps it was they who should take responsibility by not allowing their children to see the material to begin with. Robin stated this opinion quite a bit more eloquently than I, but I agree. I too have received complaints of this nature, and I look at it this way. Allowing your children to use your FB account and then complaining to your friends about the content your kids see there is akin to taking them to a strip club and then complaining to the manager when they see tits and ass. I am a grown, free, AMERICAN WOMAN, and as such, I am going to express myself in whatever way I see fit on my own page. Those people who do not like what I post have two options. 1) they may scroll on by, or 2) they may delete and/or block me. I promise I will not be offended by either of these actions, as they are your right and your prerogative. However, what you may not do is infringe upon my rights to be myself, and to express myself accordingly. I will NOT allow my voice to be stifled for the comfort of those who refuse to be responsible for their own feelings. I will NOT be blamed for YOUR hangups, and I will NEVER surrender my RIGHTS for the benefit of another! https://youtube/watch?v=UzWHE32IxUc
