A friend of mine has Been trying for years to remember an old classic film (1940s or thereabouts), not sure of the actors but the main character was a blind woman who married a man and went to his house by the sea. There was a wicked female character named Verity who was intent on letting the blind woman drown near a reef . I just remember this blind woman calling Verity Verity helplessly. Can anyone help me identify the movie please ?
