A friend of mine is having major surgery tomorrow. He stops in to see me at work occasionally and I was praying he would come in today so I could pray for him. He is not a believer but when I asked him if I could pray for him, out loud and in the middle of the store , with people walking past us, he said YES. He was very humbled and thankful for the prayer. I could tell by the look on his face just how much comfort it brought him. Its possible I may be the only person who was willing to pray before his surgery. Before he left, I grabbed his hand from across the counter, looked him dead in the eye and asked him if he KNEW where he was going when he died and I told him after he answers that question, then I want to know WHY he believes what he believes, As soon as he got the first few words out, which were well, I believe in a higher power, I cut him off and said listen, I dont have time to be delicate here ( i was working and my boss heard everything I said) I basically hit him with the gospel and told him he needed Jesus in his life, He needed to ask forgiveness for his sin and agree to follow Christ because honestly, he may not make it out of surgery and he needed to have the assurance of eternal life with Jesus and that He is the only way of salvation. He listened, I saw tears in his eyes and he thanked me over and over for caring about him. Id like to ask all my praying friends to PLEASE lift my friend up in prayer for his surgery and most importantly, for his salvation. Thank you so much
