A friend of mine said, since People themselves want Dzongs to be constructed in their Dzongkhags, I shouldnt worry so much! I am definitely not worried. If I start worrying about all these issues I would just be wasting my life. I am just concerned. If you ask the people do you want a Dzong? They would definitely say yes. If you ask people where do you want your new Dzong? They would be happier that they are going to get a dzong as well as get to decide where they want to built it! But are we asking them the right questions and giving them the right perspective? How about if we ask them; Do you want a new Dzong or farm road to all villages? or all the farm roads to be blacktopped in the Dzongkhag? Or proper sanitation, education and health facilities? Or a lasting solution to tackle human-wildlife conflict? Its good people are being involved in these decisions but we need to give them the right perspectives and only then will they be able to take the right decisions. Therefore we elected leaders, otherwise why the fuss about going to elections every five years and wasting our limited resources. If politics cannot provide leadership, its just a source of livelihood for five years for 72 MPs and their families.
