A friend often posts a few words of wisdom and ends with, just sayin . Theres an old adage that says, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So here goes Bro. Dave, Just thinkin. Just thinkin’ Thinking today about the Bible. Holy Scripture, the Word of God. There are all kinds of Bible reading programs available. You can follow a program from front to back, you can follow a topical format, or you can concentrate on just the New Testament if you want to. All to encourage us to read the scriptures and, perhaps, learn from them. You know, there was a time when the scripture, its teachings, its impact on every day living, was a part of almost every conversation? Whether the topic of discussion was being handled properly according to the commands of the Scriptures? It was the basis for any decision; whether to buy or sell, a new wife, a new home, or even what to eat on a given day. We have come so far: the Bible is readily available in almost any language, in any format, and at a historically low price, even free! And we have to be encouraged, almost begged, to read it.
