A friend sent this message- Hi..just thought I should inform you so that the message spreads across all animal lovers...recently I read in newspapers about a domesticated Labrador being slaughtered and eaten up by 2 Men from the North India I.e. Manipur/Nagaland. There have been a substantial growth of these migrants from North East for work in all the 4 metros I.e. Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkatta and recently in Mumbai. And it has been my personal experience that I have seen increase in dissappearance of street dogs mainly because these Naga people prefer meat of dog with short hair so the first victims will definitely be our stray dogs. But the recent incident of slaughter of domestic dog like Labrodor speaks volumes of the audacity of these North East people and definitely is something to get the alarm bells ringing. Hence i request all dog lovers to take extra precautions for protection of street dogs and be on high alert to guard them against such dog eating communities. My reply- How are dogs and cats different from cows and goat and chicken? Should we not first get a ban on all slaughterhouses? Whatt right we have to stop these people from eating dogs and cats when we allow others to eat cows and pigs and goat?
