A friend sent this to every single member last night. And i agree! Dear member of congress: I am deeply disturbed at the lack of willingness to balance our nations budget. It is quite clear to the American people that your tactics have resorted to little more then name calling and hair pulling, over an unconstitutional health care act (Affordable Care Act). With such activities in a position of leadership it is no wonder that each of you has a cumulative approval rating in the single digits. The current American government has now greatly exceeded its means, which has placed us in clear danger, of being unable to care for its self. Our American government is clearly in the same position of the corporations we bailed out several years prior. No financial institution in the world would extend us further credit on a loan in this situation, thus it is clear the answer is to *NOT* raise the current debit ceiling. If we do we will in essence be using additional credit to make *payments* on our current loan. I believe I speak for every American as I issue this challenge to each of you. Prove to America that your loyally is to the people, the very same who have put you in to office. With hundreds of thousands of workers currently on furlough, each of you still maintains your government supplied income. If you are really here to stand by your country in its time of need, you will also donate your salary in order to provide enough funds to balance our nations budget. If you refuse I have no choice but to demand your immediate resignation. All who do not publicly pledge and take this action, will not receive my support during your next, or future elections. Be advised, I have intentionally sent this letter to each other member of congress. It is my sincere hope by doing so, every one will utilize this message as a clear topic of discussion, in your next session. Sincerely, Michael Peterson.
