A friend was asking me how I dealt with my tinnitus. A little background for those that dont know, I was officially diagnosed with tinnitus back in 2010. It is pretty much a constant ringing in my ears. When there is regular noise in the room like conversation, music, TV, etc., it is not as noticeable. But during quiet periods the tinnitus is very much present. My brother also has dealt with tinnitus and it is pretty much ongoing and I have accepted that it will be always a part of my life. That being said, it used to be worse brought on by stress from a job I used to work at and due to the nature of it, I had to quit that job. Thankfully, my current job I dont have that problem. I dont take medications for it cause there really arent any for it. I do have a degree of hearing loss and that is Ok it is not what I call major hearing loss that requires a cochlear implant similar to what Rush Limbaugh had to get. Ive learned to live a happy life despite my tinnitus.
