The frog said, “Ms. Black, my name is Kermit Jagger, and Id like to take out a loan for thirty thousand dollars.” Patty Black looked at the frog in disbelief. “That’s an awful lot of money, Mr. Jagger,” she said. “Youll need to secure some collateral against the loan.” “Will this do?” said Kermit, and he produced a little souvenir thimble with the Tower of London painted on it. Patty was absolutely baffled as to what to do, so she explained that shed have to consult with her manager. Back in the manager’s office she said, “Sir, there’s a frog out there named Kermit Jagger who wants to borrow thirty grand. And­get this­he wants to use this piece of junk as collateral!” She held up the little souvenir thimble. “I mean, what the heck is this?” The bank manager looked at the teller seriously and replied, “It’s a knickknack, Patty Black.
