A fun session with Jackson. Since he has been having difficulty slowing at liberty in the round pen, I brought in Mystic to see if Mystic could show him how to synch up better with me. Mystic did great at accelerating and Jackson moved with him, but when Mystic slowed to my sigh, Jackson ran up on Mystics butt and Mystic kicked up his heels to slow him down. It worked, sort of. We did it a half dozen times and Jackson gave the matter some thought and started to slow with Mystic, but probably more in respect of Mystics heels than my sigh! Had to laugh. Jackson did well in the arena, only a small discussion at the start of leg yields, then pretty soft. We went down the road and Jackson was great to the left, quite stiff going to the right where the neighbors have the Chinese Mastiffs. He spooked once but got it together again pretty quickly. His balance seemed better today.
