A funny thing happened on the way...STL vehicle story...I was driving Denise 1 1/2hr down the hwy, to the camp grounds, to where she is now preforming amazing culinary feats, for the Pastors wives of Uruguay. When, an hour into our travels, we see a team of customs agents on the road ahead, signaling us to pull over. In Uruguay, you have random stops, and the custom agents go through your car making sure you do not have any contraband. After I stopped, the team asked me to get out and open the back of our car...I opened the automatic rear window and asked if they would mind just looking as far as they could? Their eyes got big and they told me to step out of the car and OPEN THE BACK!! I got back there and said, I will, but please all of you get your hands ready to catch the bread...if any of the bread falls out and touches the street we will never hear the end of it from the Chef!! The all looked at each other, then looked at me and told me to close up my car and get moving...probably a first in Uruguay....they just shook their heads and I think that I heard them say...gringos!!!! #chefdrachellelooseinthekitchen
