A gem of a video from the Health Promotion Agency! Whilst outdated, the content is still relevant. You burn as many calories walking a mile as you do running a mile, the quicker you do the mile the quicker you burn the same calories. It doesnt matter what speed you walk or run at though, as long as your doing something. Over time you will improve; those just starting to walk could eventually start to jog, if thats what they want to do. Some people will increase the distance they go and stick to the same speed. It doesnt matter what your reason is, or what your ability level is, as long as you are doing something.
