A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. (Proverbs 18:16.) For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (Romans 11:29) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:(2 Cor. 9:7-8)...In other words, we have gifts and callings given to us by God, they bless others to the point that they tell others about them. But why is it that those gifts are not blessing the one with the gift? Because the one with the gift is doing it grudgingly and out of necessity. No matter what state you are in God is going to use you in the capacity He designed. You will bless the people He designated you to bless. But until you repent, do what you do for the glory of God...you will not benefit. Getting by on just enough...sparingly.
