A good productive day, but a day of mixed emotions. 2 of the people I saw today was Victoria Martell ( the police officer who dealt with the case from the beginning. She came to chat about concerns to raise at the mappa meeting tomorrow, so we shall see what happens.... Victoria will always be a special woman, she heard us believed us and after 19 years she stopped evil itself in its tracks, this time has always been in the back of mind, I knew one day Id have to try and live for the first time with us both free, its very new, strange, scary and the unknown, I know as time goes on hopefully the more stronger and confident I will become. I remember after the RTA I couldnt imagine moving on but I did! Time really is a healer one must have patience and Im sure my confidence will grow over time. Another dear friend Carol came today she was the lady who helped me track my biological family down when I had left Eunice. Carol went above and beyond the call of duty with regards to her job, she was one of the friends who supported me in court and she has remained good friends with me, after I had seen my parents for the first time she came over to visit me and she brought me a big cream lion soft toy, she said Im giving you this because your so brave, the next time I saw her in court and she bought me a cream giraffe, she said Ive got you this because youve put your neck on the line ( a bit of a joke between us!) a year or so later she came to see me after some surgery and she brought me a big cream elephant and she said to me, I got you this because elephants never forget and she said I will never forget you! Today she brought me these thoughtful sweet gifts. These 2 women saw us when wed left mum like they said earlier, we barely spoke and perminantly looked terrified, Carol said Ive blossomed into a beautiful caring young women, and Ant had better marry me soon! No pressure Anthony! 2 people who werent just doing a job but also showing so much human compassion too!, the will always have a permanent place in my heart.
