A good quality umbrella will turn inside out in a strong gust (like we are seeing from the tail of Hurricane Gonzalo). However, these are usually made with fiberglass frames that will not sprain, so the umbrella will pop back into its correct shape with a bit of manipulation. Cheap budget umbrellas do have a place in the market, but usually for one use or very occasional use and will break and sprain in strong winds. Which would want your brand associated with?
