Father DiMarco protects Ramon and prohibits even his good friend Chief Gillespie from arresting the fugitive. Carroll OConnors good friend, Italian actor Cesare Danova plays Father DiMarco. Chief Gillespies and Det. Tibbss decision NOT to violate the monasterys protection leads to further problems as they and the priest are charged with protecting a fugitive.
