A great ending today for the Chicago Open. Brasa won First as a team in Gi AND No Gi. We had some amazing performances as a team out there and showed why Brasa is #1 which was spearheaded by Coach Marcelo taking Gold in weight AND Absolute, AGAIN. Here are our particular details: Dania kicked off the day by winning Gold. Bobby was in beastmode as he captured the gold for absolute Brown belt with all sub finishes! He also took silver in weight. Josh won a second Gold today in No Gi. Eric Pool rung in a Gold as well with a sub finish. D.J. fought a weight class up, and won silver. Melvin and Justin had amazing performances in their first tournaments and beat some tough opponents and brought home bronzes. Really impressed me! Great efforts by Tom, Ryan, Fran, and Jill. You guys really have my respect for how hard you battle, and lay it on the line. True warrior hearts all of you. I am honored to be your coach. Truly blessed to have all of you. You are all vital pieces in our success as a hole. Without all of your efforts, we could not achieve this success. We relish our victories, or learn from our mistakes and become stronger from them.
