A great evening of Competition Dining last night - Battle Bass Farms Watermelon and Certified Angus Beef Custom Grinds may have been the closest battle in the series so far - sometimes it all comes down to dessert. Two great teams showed their culinary chops: Pups Steakhouse from Wilson NC and Deans Seafood Grill and Bar in Raleigh. Six tremendously talented chefs and 145 very happy Competition Dining guests. As votes were tallied, its chef Adam Jones and the team from Deans Seafood Grill & Bar who will go on to the quarter finals on July 21 up against Chef Serge Falcoz-Vigne and his team from 518 West Italian Cafe The evening last night included the featured beer this week Brüeprint Brewing Company , an array of NCWines, and fabulous bread from our newest partner, La Farm Bakery in Cary, NC. To help Competition Dining guest kick off the weekend of the Fourth, Lionel Vatinet, who attended this dinner with his lovely wife Missy, and was one of this evening pro judges, had the team from La Farm bake up artisan hot dog rolls for each guest to take home! In addition each guest received at coupon for a free mini loaf of La Farms fabulous white chocolate baguette! Six great plates and an evening of Competition Dining fun was had by all!
